I have someone asking me for a fonctional setup under these conditions

• Microsoft Outlook
• Google Apps contacts/email/calendar
• 6-7 PST files for a total of ~45-50 Gb
• Syncing via iCloud to iPhone
• Windows 7/10
• No lag

Do you think a powerful setup (much RAM, SSDs) is enough? It still isn't the best method and I can't get that someone to sort their e-mail so the size shrinks to small enough to be usable on some cloud service, like gApps (too expensive to have it all there).

Right now, it's working with iCloud control panel for Windows for the sync, and the PC/Outlook is damn slow.

Looking for alteative thoughts for solutions.

My new Rosewill mech keyboard has an FN key instead of Menu Key (aka context key or apps key). Is there any way I can map that to the Menu Key without downloading outside software? Unfortunately can't install AutoHotkey on my work laptop. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

My issue is rather simple, I guess.

I recently installed the trial version for a set of Adobe CC products and later uninstalled them after the trial expired.

I soon realized that I had another Adobe account that had never been used for Adobe CC products.

So, I reinstalled Adobe CC manager and logged in with that account.

I then installed Dreamweaver CC, and came to find that the manager thinks I installed the trial with the new account (which I didn't).

Yes, I'm using the same computer, but if it's a different account, what gives? (Adobe account; not Windows)

I'm assuming it's due to something either in the registry or in some other file.

The reason I'm trying to "extend" my trial time is because 7-days is unrealistic and not even really enough time to "try out" their products.

Everyone's becoming real stingy on their trials and whatnot as of late. Not liking it.

I'm trying to highlight mails that contain my name inside the message. If I perform a search with about:Fabian everything works as expected and Outlook finds all mails.

However if I set up a conditional formatting rule with Search for "Fabian" in field "subject" and message body, only some of the messages are highlighted.

To be more precise: Apparently it only matches if my name occurs as plain text. As soon as it is in a special format (e.g. strikethrough or in the text of an HTML link), the rule doesn't match anymore.

Is there any way to get the conditional formatting the match also HTML text and to behave like the normal search?

There's no magical way to simply configure FileZilla FTP server to allow an access to a whole system. For a good reason, you actually do not want to do this in general. Particularly giving even read-only access to C: (system) drive is a huge security risk.

You can configure it drive-per-drive though.

• First add a fake root/home folder and point it to some empty physical path (say C:empty) and set the folder read-only.
• Then add virtual path /X: for each X: drive you want to make accessible.

I'm trying to sync the clocks on a Windows 7 (A) and a Windows 8.1 (B) computer on their own, private network by using the command (cmd on computerA):

net time \computerB /set /y

As I expect, this command gives me an access denied error, since the local administrator account on computerA doesn't have permission to computerB.

I would like to set up an account, or allow Everyone or Guest permission on a specific area of computerB, so that this time sync can occur properly. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any documentation about permissions related to this command, and because of that, I'm working under the assumption that this command will require administrative privileges on both machines.

This network is completely offline, and for all intents and purposes, it's comprised of only these two machines. I would ideally like to have a time sync happen without adding additional accounts on the machines or computers/servers on this network.

Is this possible to do with net time, and if not, is there another way that I can sync computerB's time onto computerA over this offline network?

I've just formatted my new exteal HDD from FAT32 to NTFS in Ubuntu, but then I noticed that the "partition type" shows as

W95 FAT32 (LBA) (0x0c)

while the volume shows (correctly) as an NTFS volume.

My question is whether there would be any problem with this arrangement, or if I should edit the partition type.

In case it is necessary or recommended to change the partition type, which type should I choose?

NB: I guess keeping the MBR partitioning scheme instead of changing it to GUID Partition Table is OK.

I am trying to capture packets from my iPhone with my desktop ruing the latest version of Kali Linux with all the updates and the latest version of Virtual Box. I tued off my wireless device, switched it in monitor mode, killed off the processes and tued it back on like the documentation said to. For some reason ruing the command below does not show my iPhone's data.

SVG can be readily viewed in Edge browser. However white SVG on white browser background aren't good to see. What's a good alteative?

I have a computer with built-in WLAN, and it just can't get any IP from the DHCP when using that adaptor. The signal strength and quality is excellent.

Using the LAN adaptor or a USB-WiFi adaptor works just fine.

To eliminate the router being the cause, I tried making a hotspot on my mobile phone, and the same behaviour repeats itself there: it coects without problems, but it doesn't get an IP from the DHCP server.

So I suspect it's the driver for the built-in WiFi adaptor that needs updating.

The computer is ruing the latest version of Windows 10 Pro x64 (downloaded+installed yesterday).

The motherboard is: Asus M4A88T-I Deluxe. It's about 5 years old, but has only been in use for about 1 year. I don't think it is defective in any way.

The WLAN adaptor is: AzureWave, Model no: AW-NA830

The adaptor installs as 802.11n Network Adaptor. Driver from MediaTek, Inc. Driver date/version: 2016-06-06 / 5.1.16.0 (Default Microsoft driver from Windows Update.)

When developing a web app locally I like to use addresses like app.localhost:8080 to access them. They work fine in Chrome but not in Safari. I guess this is because Chrome has special handling for the TLD and Safari uses the OS DNS resolver. Is there a way to make macOS resolve all .localhost addresses to 127.0.0.1?

In an indoor environment, I have more than 10 clients are coecting to an AP, pinging 50000 byte of packet size.

Then I add another 10 clients, pinging 50000 byte of packet size. After ruing few hours, start to see 3-4 devices encountered tx-ccq low % (eg. 1 - 5%).

I tested the AP with LANforge tool, it can support up to 50-60 concurrent users.

However, this is not tally with what I tested in real environment.

Not sure what is the root cause of this dropped tx-ccq issue.

Any idea to improve the multiple unicast performance in this AP? Any advise is appreciated.

So last night when I was surfing the web, windows crashed and tried to automatic repair but failed. I contacted one of the Microsoft advisors they told me to download windows 10 onto the USB. After that, he told me to plug my USB (which I had downloaded Windows 10 on) and repair my PC. However, that failed. So then this afteoon, I contacted another advisor he told me to reset this PC but it failed. I then contacted another advisor and tried to perform a clean installation of Windows 10 but that failed. That just rebooted and took me straight back to the start. Any ideas? I tried all the troubleshoot options but none of those helped.

I'm looking at moving to Windows System Image for my backups as I'm realising that just backing up user files is still going to leave me with days of installing and configuring in the event of a disaster. I've got three disks - my boot SSD (128GB), an application/working data drive (1TB) and a user data drive (2TB). The total amount of data on these drives is about 2.5TB.

Currently I already have a bunch of 2TB exteal drives for backups and would obviously like to keep using them if possible. From some preliminary reading I've seen that Windows ignores empty space when imaging (unlike a disk image) and will attempt to compress any compressible files so I suspect I can fit a single image on my existing exteal drives, but is there any way to confirm this without just doing it and seeing if it throws up an error?

Recently, I had problems installing vcredist from a network drive. It was because the exe file had to be accessible by the Windows Installer service. To solve that I mapped the drive as NT AUTHORITYSYSTEM to make it visible to all users, see http://superuser.com/a/1103115/233620

Later I found that IBM DB2 installer launchpad for Windows hangs or dies in such setup. The launchpad is based on an hta application. I was able to reproduce the problem with a "hello world" hta application.

Nothing works....

I want to move all files with extensions such as: .JPEG .MP3 .MP4 .MOV .AVI .PDF .PSD .WAV .TXT

...to new parent folders named after the extension of the files contained therein. Currently I have too many files within so many subfolders (under one parent folder) to do this manually. I tried searching the parent folder with * to then sort by file type but it is too much and my system either freezes or is unusable/slow. please assume I know nothing in regard to scripts/batch files but I can follow directions, copy and paste ;) please advise.

I recently purchased Philips Hue lights and noticed that my wireless network has slowed down considerably. If I cut power to all lights and the Hue bridge, everything seems to be fine again.

Hue lights work on the 2.4 GHz band and so does my WiFi, but I don't think that they communicate permanently. What could be the source of the problem? RF interference of some kind?

How can I mitigate this effect?

I had trouble with disk space recently and I think it affected my guest machine on Virtualbox with booting up and all. I keep seeing this Error After Install tag on my guest machine so I've been wondering whether it would be wise for me to delete this snapshot. virtualbox error Any implications? I am a computer technician working out of a local shop and we had this laptop come in with a perplexing issue. I will go ahead and run down what I've tried.

Bios: Tried disabling secure boot, enabling legacy boot and legacy options. After such I tried loading both Windows 10 DVD as well as a bued Windows 10 ISO on USB flash drive (Tried both Windows creation tool and rufus).

Both USB and DVD media go to a screen with Dell logo and circle dots loading symbol. Looks like the CPU light gets active for a bit and then just stops. Everything stays loading for infinite time. It did this before I changed settings in bios as well.

Three restarts: Tried doing three restarts in a row to launch the troubleshooting screen. It would just go to "Preparing Automatic Repair" and stay there for a long time.. over night even.

Then I tried setting everything back to defaults and trying to just boot the hard drive. Secure boot enabled, UEFI set, default keys in place. Now on each start I get either: 1. Dell logo with swirling dots. 2. Dell Logo with Preparing Automatic Repair.

Tried chkdsk on existing hard drive. Tried diagnostic for hardware: 100% pass. Tried Dell Restore & Backup: Infinite loading screen.

Is the BIOS borked? I've been working on this for a solid week to no avail. Going a little crazy.

Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. I really have no idea where to go from here as I've scoured the inteet and have tried every troubleshooting concept I've leaed in the past 10 years.

**I also tried static discharge, removing battery and AC and holding power for 60 seconds. Also updated Bios to one newer iteration supporting Windows 10.

I have an old mac mini (2010 type) memory has been upgraded to 4M hard disk 110g used, 2g free left yesterday when I reboot the mac mini it always displayed the small circle then shutdown automatically. I try to press key 'shifht' to enter safe mode

but result is same, it shutdown automatically after 2,3 minutes, there is no logon window display.

I try to press key 'Shift' to enter 'disk utility'.

I have set up 2 users both as administrators. It is a home computer and we do not require password protection. I am the normal user and have managed to set up so that I login without having to enter password .

However whenever my family switches to his user the login screen forces him to write his a password, and when i switch back from his session to mine Im forced to put my password again.

Is it possible to set-up windows 10, so that we can simply switch users without inputting any passwords?

I am trying to write a script in the AccuTerm emulator. For the most part I have what I need down except some code that will allow me to copy and paste in the program. The commands to simply copy a selection is .copy and to paste from the clipboard is .paste "", however, I need something just a bit more flexible. Rather than copy to the clipboard, I need to copy into a string/variable. What I have attempted is this:

But obviously it doesn't like my .copy = %%%%. So how would I copy these as strings? And when I am ready to paste these strings, what would that command be? The two options I can think of are either using the .Paste or .Output commands.
